Yogaonethatiwant, or for those of us who prefer acronyms, YOTIW, is a growing community of yogis and instructors in the Klang Valley. Classes vary in the range of ability, offering classes such as basic yoga to self-practice Ashtanga. They also offer more cardio-based classes, such as Zumba.
Upon entering the self-proclaimed Hippie Hub, you are greeted by a receptionist at what appears to be a zen bar, as the space previously functioned as a bar before being transformed by yoga-loving free spirits into a lovely boutique studio. An early arrival is worthwhile for the chance to browse clothing racks dotted with artisan items or the option to enjoy a beverage in one of their cosy chairs.
The idea behind YOTIW is simple: to allow free spirits to improve their physical fitness together so as to benefit the mind, body and soul. YOTIW ‘s reach goes beyond their own studio as they host community wellness sessions and events at multiple locations across the Klang Valley.
I also tried a Pop Pilates class, which is a total body workout through equipment-free movements. The instructor guides you through quick sculpting movements to carefully curated songs to make sure you forget how much your muscles burn. Each song focuses on a different part of the body, ensuring a full body workout.
Finishing the workout with a core blaster, you are free to enjoy the outdoor garden or more of the indoor hub before heading out with a feeling of rejuvenation. You bring the sweat, Hippie Hub brings the vibes!
Other locations of YOTIW include Shah Alam, KLCC and Petaling Jaya.
