We are looking for a rockstar Social and Digital Content Manager to join our China team, and a Business Development Manager to join our Shanghai team and take GuavaPass China to the next level!

Job Description

We’re looking for a rockstar Social and Digital Content Manager to join our China team. This is an exciting and rewarding role at the intersection of social media, content strategy and creation, and digital marketing.

If this is you, you have a love for all things social and digital, and you have past experience managing the social media platforms for other Chinese companies. Your WeChat moments are always on point, and you know exactly which KOLs to follow to get the latest on what’s happening in Beijing, Shanghai, and beyond. You’re a true hustler with a track record of delivering results under pressure in an unstructured, fast-paced environment. While you’re an independent self-starter, you’re also a team player who loves building communities and creating content that bring people together around our brand mission.

Oh, and you’re fun to work(out) with – always ready to join a boxing class or bootcamp (and snap that selfie) after a long day of content creation, editing, and optimization. If this sounds like you, then read on.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage the bilingual content calendar for all of our Chinese digital platforms, including our websites, social media channels, and syndication outlets

  • Capture, create, write, and edit content in both Simplified Chinese and English that is ready for dissemination across a number of channels; all tailored to brand voice, market trends, and business needs

  • Actively grow the traffic and followers of our social media platforms, with an eye towards lead generation and purchase conversions

  • Work closely with Shanghai and Beijing market managers to coordinate and integrate digital marketing and content plans into larger China marketing plans

  • Continuously monitor and analyze online content for quality and performance; provide insights on campaign results

  • Optimize and propose additional methods for testing new content, strategies, and channels based on historical performance, new market trends, and experimentation

  • Constantly monitor social media channels for comments, reviews, and feedback from users and other community members; address concerns and feedback to China team

  • Plan and execute a strategy to work with online KOLs and influencers in both Beijing and Shanghai to create content, drive traffic  to our social media channels, and ultimately drive purchase conversions

  • Work closely with digital and social media vendors and agencies as needed to provide strategic guidance and monitoring as needed

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years working in the content marketing, social media, or digital marketing space

  • Experience creating bilingual content, managing, and implementing paid advertising on WeChat and Weibo

  • Marketing mindset with deep understanding of content marketing and strategy

  • Strong writing skills in Simplified Chinese and English

  • Photography and editing skills a must, videography and editing skills a plus

  • Positive, can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves, self-starter mindset and attitude

  • Impeccable fluency in written and spoken Simplified Chinese and English

  • Highly organized, multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Drive to stay constantly informed on industry developments, consumer trends, and new platforms and technologies

  • Past experience in: e-commerce, start-ups, tech, and/or the fitness and wellness space are a plus
