Most people know Mari Jasmine as a model, blogger, and a host on ETC. With her line of work, most people would think, “Of course, she’s a model, so she has to stay in shape!” But more than just staying fit for her job, most people are unaware of how passionate Mari is about taking care of her body.
Mari is no stranger when it comes to the topic of health and wellness. A quick trip to her blog will tell you that she is knowledgeable in the field. She has garnered a huge number of followers on her blog, where she writes not only about her love for travel and style, but also about eating right. She shares some of her own healthy recipes and even has a Youtube account where she uploads a few cooking videos on how to make them. Her passion for creating colorful dishes using natural and organic ingredients are continuously inspiring many people to be conscious of what they eat and ultimately switch to healthier eating habits.
Since Mari mostly share posts about her food and nutrition, we’re sure people have been wondering what her workout regimen is. We had a quick chat with Mari to talk about the physical aspects of her fitness journey.
What do you do to stay fit?
I try to get in a variety of workouts in my fitness regime. I like yoga for strength and flexibility, I get my cardio in from spin classes or joining Nike Run Club, and I’d like to do more HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) too.
What’s your favorite workout?
That’s hard to answer because I really love a variety in my workout. Yoga is definitely up at the top.
How did you get into your chosen sport/regimen?
I grew up playing all sort of sports, and have always loved trying new things. GuavaPass has helped me explore new types of exercise like spin classes!
Does GuavaPass offer anything unique to your journey to fitness?
GuavaPass is the best thing that’s happened to my fitness routine. I’m so grateful that it exists in Manila, and it’s perfect for me as I travel a lot.
I can’t afford to have memberships at all these different types of fitness studios, and I love that GuavaPass gives me access to such a wide range of workout options.
Before, I was only limited to a number of studios, but with GuavaPass I get a such a wide variety of options to choose from, so not only am I happier with my fitness results, but it’s been such a great way to meet new people and discover new types of exercises.
What keeps you motivated/inspired to stay fit?
The fact that it makes me feel great!
What advice would you give to people who are trying to get in shape?
Work out with friends. It’s so much more fun, and you won’t have an excuse to back out from your workout!
