Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR) was created by Yamuna Zake, and is part of her bigger picture called Body Sustainability, with the primary objective of improving the quality of the body and prevent its breakdown. Yamuna® Body Rolling and all its levels of education are tools to keep sustaining the body pain-free and with a full range of motion at every decade of life.
This technique is beneficial for everyone to connect with their bodies and restore their natural alignment. The Yamuna® Body Rolling balls are helpful for awakening underused and tight muscles, and for the very active, the balls can release tight muscles tension.
The practice of YBR unwinds the negative holding patterns created by stress, overexertion or a sedentary lifestyle, allowing for greater ease and well-being. There are many people know of Yamuna’s work because they have been able to successfully self-heal from all types of structural injuries.
How does it work?
YBR uses balls of different sizes and resistance to give tense muscles relief and restore mobility in stiff areas anywhere in the body. These specialised balls (customised for Yamuna® rolling and breathing techniques) have the ability to penetrate not just muscle but bone, joint, tissue and organ for gentle and effective stimulation, promoting smooth daily bodily function and boosting energy flow in stuck areas.
It’s a form of passive-active release, suitable for unwinding and melting away stress. It’s not a stress-busting workout because no sweating is involved, however, one may ache the next day but feel lighter in one’s posture immediately.
