Dynamic and inventive exercises are the key to any great circuit, which is why HIIT sessions on GuavaPass like Fitness Bravo’s HIIT Group Class delivers a challenging workout every time. The session was one of the most intense and motivating GuavaPass circuit training sessions I’ve done so far. With the variety of exercises, intensity levels and range of muscles worked throughout the session, the hour-long circuit class flew by. The Bugis studio is an efficient use of space, and you are anything but limited with the assortment of equipment included in the workout. This type of training is a perfect choice for anyone looking to lose fat and develop lean muscle.
A strong mix of slams, sit-ups and sprints
HIIT classes can sometimes be repetitive, leaving you checking the clock every chance you get. The main feature of successful HIIT sessions is the creativity of interval exercises chosen. Today’s fast paced and adrenalin-packed HIIT Group Class was run by JT, who pushed everyone till the last minute. The class of 10 began in two groups completing some warm-up drills. This included a number of interchanging sets of medicine ball slams and ladder sprints, with squat jumps and weighted sit ups. As a newcomer in the class of regulars, I was welcomed with open arms into their fitness group that felt more like a group of friends. There was a lightness to the class that made it less serious and more fun, while still giving you a great workout.
How to burn fat and tone the body
I’ve found the most interesting GuavaPass circuit classes, not to mention the most challenging, are ones with more exercises in the sequence than people. These exercises are designed to increase your heart rate, target specific muscles and help condition your metabolic rate. Today’s hour-long session had 15 stations for a class of 10, keeping the class interesting and fast-paced. The circuits covered strength, cardio and endurance based training with each person completing 45 seconds at each post including but not limited to side planks, burpee box jumps, bike sprints and L-sits. No two exercises were similar, challenging your strength, concentration and commitment to the workout. As each person pushed through the 3rd and final circuit round, the class came to a close with a deep stretch and cool down.
And to top it all off…
Coming to sit and stretch out as a class, we were all left spent but feeling fantastic after such a rewarding and satisfying workout. Thinking it was already one of the best workouts I’ve tried on GuavaPass, the instructors at Fitness Bravo provide a cold glass of delicious BCAAs for the class, available for purchase at the studio.
