You’ve done POWER PLATE® classes and you’ve done HIIT workouts, but have you tried them together? At the Croyez Studio, their PABT Bootcamp uses both styles to target your abs, bum and thighs (ABT) through light weights and a mix of high intensity exercises. The difference at the Croyez Studio is that the entire workout is performed on a high strength POWER PLATE®, taking your workout to its maximum effectiveness. The class was extremely challenging but equally rewarding. With effective rounds of minute long exercises the session is designed build lean muscle, improve circulation exponentially and effectively increase your cardiovascular fitness.
Hundreds of reasons each minute to visit the Croyez studio
Low-impact, high-intensity classes such as PABT are one of the best classes on GuavaPass to tone problem areas. By using the hundreds of vibration each minute, the POWER PLATE® stimulates your muscles to tighten and relax repeatedly and effectively . Because of the consistent activation of the muscle, performing one squat, push-up or crunch on the POWER PLATE® is equivalent to 10 of the same movement off the plate, making your workout more effective and faster.
Stretching and strengthening with POWER PLATE®
The class worked the body in sections, starting with a full body stretch on the plate. Using the POWER PLATE® for stretching is also extremely efficient with its ability to vibrate the muscle, lengthening and stretching it out further with each vibration. After the quick warm up, our instructor Pamela, began the real work pushing us through squats, lunges and deep-held pulses. All the while, the POWER PLATE® vibrations were set to high, challenging us more and more with every second past. What’s interesting about the plates is that depending on where you’re tensing, the vibrations will focus on that muscle. As a result, low and normal depth squats cause completely different muscles to trigger and vibrate depending on the specific muscle in focus.
Vibrating pushups, dips and crunches
After our legs were deemed completely fatigued, the instructor coached us through a creative arm and ab workout. The combination of push-ups, triceps dips and crunches on the vibrating platform activated each muscle in my upper-body. The addition of hand weights into this workout further incorporated the shoulders and back. Focusing on certain muscles we continued on with press-ups, lat raises and curls, firing up the biceps and triceps. In workouts like these that are high intensity and resistance based, the session began to incorporate elements of cardio by keeping such a steady pace, making it one of the hardest POWER PLATE® sessions I’ve ever done.
The Croyez Studio is located at Dempsey Hill and is one of the first authorised POWER PLATE® studios in Asia.
